OCLC and ILLiad software

Keywords: Interlending, Licences, Computer software, Internet

OCLC has finalised its agreement with Virginia Tech Intellectual Properties and Atlas Systems to license and distribute ILLiad software, an interlibrary loan management tool that automates routine interlibrary loan functions and provides sophisticated tracking statistics to library staff. The software will be licensed and distributed by OCLC under the name OCLC ILLiad Resource Sharing Management Software.

OCLC ILLiad also provides a Web interface that empowers library end users to submit ILL requests and allows them to track the status of their requests 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without library staff intervention.

More information can be found on the new OCLC ILLiad Web page at http://www.illiad.oclc.org
