Last summer a small group of estate agents, valuers and surveyors were invited to Canada by the Government to study timber frame housing there. I was nominated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to join the party which visited Government officials, appraisers (valuers), estate agents, house builders and material suppliers in Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
