A survey by Oxford Brooks University shows that 60 per cent of people would be prepared to pay more, and 80 per cent would be inclined to buy a house with energy efficiency built in. Is this compatible with reducing fuel prices ­ and the reduction of VAT on fuel.

Surveyors for purchases must be conscious of the energy efficiency of properties ­ if nothing else,it could affect the resale value.
