Green cotton mill

A ground-breaking National Trust project has been awarded a £1 million lottery grant to make it self-sufficient in water and power. Yorkshire's Gibson Mill was built 200 years ago and is a Grade II listed building. Water turbines,biomass boilers and photo-voltaic cells are to be incorporated into the renovation of the mill to create an exemplar of the Trust's green policies.
