Education and training requirements for 7,500-10,000 home inspectors

The ODPM is organising an information and awareness day for education providers who they hope will be able to deliver a minimum of 7,500 home inspectors by January 2004. The government intend to introduce home condition reports as part of the home information pack requirement in January 2007. The amount of training will depend on whether the aspiring home inspector has any previous knowledge or experience. The role of home inspector has open access and is set at the equivalent of NVQ level 4.
