Treatment of joints in building structures

Claims that joints in buildings have been well‐discussed in the literature, rightly, as they fail frequently. Reviews the principles of joint design and joint sealing, including the selection of sealants. Points out six key principles of sealant application techniques. Concludes with a reiteration that continuing diligent attention to jointing factors is necessary.
