New pressure systems safety regulations

The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 came into force on 21 February 2000. The regulations (which allow the statutory records to be kept on computer)are designed to reduce the 150 or so cases involving an accidental release of gas or fluid from pressure systems which are reported to the HSE every year -about six of these result in fatalities or serious injury.
