A BRE research project is comparing the performance of proprietary renders with that of traditional site mixed renders. The aim of the study is to investigate the potential improvements that proprietary renders offer –greater predictability, the ability to add beneficial components (e.g. polymers), better control of mix and colour, reduced waste and greater scope for project specific design.
