A £1.9 million state-of-the-art recycling centre for construction,demolition and excavation waste began in Rotherham in May. The project is funded to the tune of £560,000 by the Waste Resources Action Plan (WRAP). The centre should be in full production by late 2005 by which time it is forecasted it will be attracting around 2,500 tonnes of raw material per week.
