ODPM announces delay to service charge reporting measures

The ODPM has announced a delay in their proposals to compel landlords to supply their tenants with regular service charge statements. New rights were introduced under the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 which would have required landlords to supply service charge payers with a regular statement of account. This decision has been taken after social landlords complained that they would not be able to impose the measures without imposing substantial extra costs on their tenants.
