Meanwhile, three organisations have announced that they have become Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) appointed certification bodies for home inspectors. These are BRE, SAVA and RICS. Of course whether they have any inspectors to certify will depend upon whether there is a take-up of voluntary home condition reports or whether DCLG acts to make them a mandatory part of home information packs.
