Effects of omega-3 fatty acids on cancer risk: a systematic review

This well-conducted review assessed the effects of omega-3 fatty acids on cancer risk. The studies included in the review reported tumour incidence for eleven types of cancer, with other half reporting on breast, colorectal or prostate cancer. The authors concluded that there is no evidence to suggest that there is a significant association between omega-3 fatty acids and cancer incidence. The authors’ conclusions are likely to be reliable.
