Information Networks: Allen and Gore Not Yet Connected. During the economic conference convened in Little Rock by Bill Clinton prior to his inauguration there was an exchange between Robert Allen, chairman of AT&T and Vice President Al Gore that did not promise too much shared vision on the role of government in developing information networks.
