Deloitte & Touche, an information technology consulting service, has released its annual survey of chief information officers in industries ranging from publishing to transportation. The Fifth Annual Survey of North American CIOs indicates that information systems (IS) budgets are expected to grow by only 1 percent in 1993, down from 3.5 percent last year.
