In the fall of 1988, the vision of Lafayette College President David Ellis began to be realized when the Board of Trustees committed to create a leading‐edge campus‐wide computer environment that would provide unlimited twenty‐four‐hour access for every member of the Lafayette community to state‐of‐the‐art information systems technology.
