Article Type: Introduction From: International Journal of Manpower, Volume 35, Issue 3

This issue of the International Journal of Manpower (IJM) brings together nine papers that were submitted through the regular submission and were externally reviewed through the usual way. They are all concerned with different perspectives and methodologies of male and female earning gaps, thus it was thought useful to publish these papers together on issue of the IJM devoted to this theme.
