Editorial

It is a pleasure to be able to publish some of the papers that were presented at an international seminar on micro‐enterprise held in Sydney on 4–7 July, 1996, in a special issue of this journal. Entitled ‘The Role of Micro‐Enterprise in Community Economic Development’, the seminar was a first of its kind to be held in Sydney under the auspices of the memorandum of understanding between the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and the University College of Cape Breton.
