I am pleased to announce that I addition to the excellent papers published in this issue, we present the second of what we hope will be a successful, ongoing feature within International Journal of Operations & Production Management (IJOPM). It is called the “Operations Masters Series” and this is where we will interview, and provide insights from,leading figures in the field of Operations Management. This interview is with Professor Wickham Skinner, Emeritus Professor at Harvard Business School.
Professor Skinner’s contribution to the field has been seminal with his articles and books on manufacturing strategies as well as classic articles including The Focused Factory.
Future interviews will engage with experts in manufacturing and service sectors whose contributions to the field have been recognised internationally. We will engage with academics from around the world to bring the very best insights from top academics.
We hope you will continue to enjoy this feature, and thank you for your very positive comments following the interview with Professor Terry Hill.
