The Asset Management Approach to Spares Support

Asset Management as used here means “the integration of inventory, transportation and warehousing to meet predetermined service levels at minimum costs”. Although this technique can be applied to any distribution problem, the purpose of this paper is to examine its application for spare parts support specifically for the computer/business equipment industry.
