Mono to the Max

Xerox claims it has advanced the speed of A4 size black-and-white printing with the Phaser 4400. "The Phaser 4400 is faster than any other monochrome printer in its class, combining true 1,200 dpi quality with full speed at 25ppm. In addition, Adobe Postscipt 3 provides outstanding image quality while a 266MHz processor reduces waiting time with a first page out time of 11 seconds",the company claims. The Phaser 4400 offers a standard input of 550 sheets, and is available at an entry price of £954 (exc. VAT). Meanwhile Xerox has cut the price of its DocuColour 2006 A3 printer copier "following a pricing re-alignment which has reduced the price of the entry level version by up to 36 per cent". The Xerox DocuColour 2006 now starts at £4,540 (list price exc. VAT). The DocuColour 2006 includes a 600 by 600dpi with 8-bit colour depth. With memory expandable to 512MB, a built-in 6GB hard drive, and a 266MHz processor, the DocuColour 2006 is network ready with standard 10/100 Base-T Ethernet, parallel connectivity and Web-based network management tools.
