Emcor Facilities Services has been awarded a £30m contract to be the single source provider of asset management services for AWE at Aldermaston and Burghfield. The five-year contract consolidates over 190 sub-contracts and aims to simplify and improve service provision across both sites. To improve site running and to reduce costs, under the new contract all planned maintenance will be carried out to an agreed schedule and time limit on response times for rectification of reported breakdowns and faults. Fixed prices have been agreed between Emcor and AWE for all maintenance work and an on-site help desk will support the delivery of maintenance and new works projects. The scope of the contract includes M&E, building fabric maintenance, roads and paving,asbestos removal, asset management system, facility condition surveys, and more.
