In the middle of last month Mr. Victor Feather, general secretary of the Trades Union Congress, spoke at some length to the Institution of Production Engineers about human relations in industry. Within a day or so, in the firm's newspaper, Mr. George Turnbull, managing director of the newly‐organized Austin Morris and Manufacturing Group, was stressing the need for better relations between management and workers. In November the Duke of Edinburgh will be principal speaker at an Industrial Society conference on Involvement at Work and, most exceptionally, will answer questions.
