Disc full

I filled up my laptop hard disc the other day – 40Gb of applications and data! I remember getting my first hard disc of 5Mb and thinking how could I ever fill all that space. Am I any more productive? Actually, I am not sure. My presentations are prettier, and more animated. My documents look better. But,they look broadly the same as anyone else's. The bar keeps being raised –and we all have to jump higher. I do not have a competitive advantage … but if I did not use this stuff, I would be at a competitive disadvantage. So, on I go. In a few years time, I will be merrily filling terabytes of storage with my latest creations … and so will the rest of you. We are all moving in the same direction … I am just not sure if it is progress!
