Different strokes …

In a recent meeting, I took a bit of a battering. There were quite a few complaints about one of the services I manage. Most of these (thankfully) turned out to be errors and omissions in different parts of the organisation –unfortunately not all of them! At the end of the meeting, one of the participants came up and stroked my arm saying, “We all need a stroke now and then”. How true and how nice. We don’t always take the time to offer praise, sympathy and encouragement.
