Have you used the CDDB, the database of CD information that is "out there"on the Web? It allows you to put a CD into the drive on your PC, and then for the player software to look up the CD and fill in details of track titles. This is so useful – and could be termed a "productivity gain" (saving me having to type in this information manually), except that it means that I spend more time listening to CDs and recording them to my hard drive … and this distracts me from "real work".
