Networked tomorrow

Innovance Networks, a privately- held optical networking company, has announced the global commercial availability of the world's first complete agile, photonic networking solution for long-haul, inter-city networks. The AgileCore suite of products brings together transparent switching, dynamic "all reach" transport, and full spectrum tunable technology with a real-time photonic layer operating system to deliver an "automated" photonic network offering fast, touchless bandwidth delivery while providing up to 70 per cent reduction in capital and operational costs. The Innovance Networks AgileCore solution is an open, modular platform that can be deployed on a route-by-route basis and scale in-service to a full agile, photonic network. Innovance Networks is located in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) and Piscataway, New Jersey (USA). For more information, see http://www.innovance.com
