BT has announced that it is expanding the options available to businesses to give employees broadband access to their company network from home. The Corporate Teleworker service combines domestic broadband access with secure access to corporate networks and will be available in two off-the-shelf packages. It can also be configured to fit specific requirements depending on the preferences of the business. According to Danny McLaughlin, managing director of BT Major Business, a company can save up to £2,000 per employee through adopting a more flexible working arrangement: "A company of 100 people operating in a high rent urban area could expect to see a return on its investment within three and a half months. Clearly there are business and cultural implications, but the economics are compelling."
