Space in stores is a limited resource which the grocery retailers in the UK are finding new ways to manage and measure. Assigning costs to this and the many handling and storage activities that take place in the retail distribution system is becoming more frequent, as demonstrated by the third IGD/Touche Ross industry survey on DPP. The survey investigates the role of DPP at the trade interface, by manufacturers,retailers and wholesalers, both now and in the future.
