IT IS generally agreed that a single line centralised lubrication system has many advantages over the more conventional double line system, but hitherto, these advantages have been negatived, when applied to reversing systems, by various difficulties in ensuring correct design so that the system is both automatic and thoroughly reliable. Probably the biggest saving in a single line system is the reduction in piping required and consequently the ease of fitting with its neatness. The method of reversing the flow has given trouble on many previous designs of single line reversing systems.
