Effectively sealing and protecting metal parts subjected to extreme conditions of heat, pressure and contamination has long been a nightmare for engineers. The NEVER-SEEZ range of anti-seize and lubricating products from Leicester-based high performance adhesive and sealant company, Bostik, looks set to solve the age old engineering problem (see Plate 7).

Designed particularly for combating corrosion to metal products, NEVER-SEEZ has been proven an effective anti-seize compound in extremities of temperature ranging from –1808C to +1,2008C. Containing finely divided metal carbons in a special hydrocarbon carrier, NEVER-SEEZ works by sealing and protecting parts from pressure and rust, as well as under extreme heat and contamination conditions.

Kevin Matthews, market development manager at Bostik, explains: "NEVER-SEEZ not only helps in the sealing and protection of metal parts, it extends a whole range of benefits to the user. Primarily, the lubrication properties reduce maintenance stripdown times whilst the sealant properties ensure increased in-service periods."

The range of anti-seize products from Bostik has been developed in two grades: Standard and Pure Nickel Special Grade. For ease of use, NEVER-SEEZ is available in two application options; aerosol or paint.
