A method of improved lubrication for any bearing subjected to cyclic loading was recently demonstrated to the technical press by The Glacier Metal Company, Ltd., Alperton, Wembly, Middx. The method has been the subject of considerable research and development under the guidance of their research manager, Mr. Love. The potentialities of this development could be very considerable; it has not yet been investigated in practice but it could prove of inestimable value to designers of large oil engines, as well as, eventually, to smaller types of internal combustion engine, even to the automobile engine.
