The above is the title of Booklet No. 32 in Mobil Oil Company's series of Industrial Technical Bulletins, written for the use of their industrial customers, and it constitutes a summary of the Company's knowledge and experience in connection with the disposal of used soluble‐oil emulsions on a universal scale. We consider that this information should be available to every one of our readers and have accordingly reprinted here almost the complete Bulletin. In describing the main methods and some of the factors to consider in designing a system for the disposal of used emulsions the Bulletin describes types of plant, and adaptions, which could be incorporated in existing plant. They are given as suggestions and hints only, as the final design chosen and constructed in an existing plant would depend on throughput, layout and the adaptability of equipment already in use. In many cases the methods described could be adapted to a plant's needs and the simple tanks and other equipment could be made locally.
