A NEW DRAWING COMPOUND, developed by the Chemical Division, Chrysler Corporation, could radically change both the methods and working conditions in steel stamping plants. In addition, this die‐lubricating material should substantially reduce fabrication costs and provide steel with positive corrosion protection from the time it is derailed from mill rolls until the shaped part is ready for metal preparation prior to painting.
