IN A PAPER to the Institute of Marine Engineers on 11th April, 1967, A. G. Howe, M.B.E., C.Eng., M.I.Mar.E. (formerly Engineering Director of Davey, Paxman & Co. Ltd.) and H. Watson, B.Sc, Ph.D. (Engineering Manager, Large Engines, Ruston and Hornsby Ltd.) dealt with specific design features of medium and high‐speed oil engines.
