CENTRALIZED LUBRICATION REDUCES WEAR IN LOOMS

THE reduction of friction on a loom may not be a great deal when assessed as savings in motive power required, but the savings in wear and in subsequent reduction in maintenance costs can be considerable. When, however, this is multiplied by about 300, representing the number of looms working on the same factory floor, the savings can amount to many hundreds of pounds annually—plus the increased production and freedom from what could have been very costly downtime if wear had not been arrested.
