WOODWORKING combines the usage of heavy duty machinery such as the circular or band saw which constitute the basis of sawmill operation, with the more precise high speed machines required for final finishing of wood products by planing, molding, shaping, boring, etc. Each process is essentially one of cutting. The sharper the sawteeth and the straight knife edges of the subsequent cutting machines, the more precise will be the finished surfaces.
