CASTROL: THREE SCORE YEARS AND FIFTEEN

ON the 19 March, 1899, Charles Cheers Wakefield founded an oil company, called his oil ‘Castrol’, and probably had visions which he did not expect would materialise … but they have done. To celebrate their first 75 years as an oil company, Castrol are holding a major exhibition at Olympia, London, in August, have produced a film in keeping with this anniversary, and have produced a most interesting publication detailing their history.
