PARAMINS, the additives research and manufacturing arm of Esso Chemicals, reports a recent flurry of activity centred in Germany, relating to alleged potential health risks associated with used lubricants (and by implication with fresh oils and additives). The report, published in question‐and‐answer form, is of topical interest, particularly in view of increasingly strong pressure on the EEC to stiffen the inadequate 1975 legislation on the subject.
