Until last February, press tool manufacturer JAJ Engineering Ltd, Falkirk, was spending up to £1,800 a month on bought‐in wire‐cut electric discharge machining (EDM). This work was later brought in‐house following the installation of a BW300 computer‐controlled EDM machine from Bridgeport Machines Ltd, of Leicester.
