Ambersil has announced the launch of its specialised lubricants in a new,multi-language presentation can to support its expansion into the European market. The new can now carries eight European languages (see Plate 1).

The first products to be made available in the new can are Ambersil Chainspray, Ambersil Penetrating Oil, and Ambersil Tufcut.

Ambersil Chainspray provides instant maintenance for all types of drives and conveyer chains. It claims to penetrate deeply into pins and bushes, offering long-lasting lubrication and corrosion protection. The "pencil jet"spray can be easily directed through inspection holes and machine guards to provide application to the required area without waste. Chains treated with Ambersil Chainspray do not require a further layer of protective grease to prevent corrosion. Ambersil Chainspray does not attract dirt or dust, resists fling-off and is unaffected by water wash and has an effective operating temperature of –25°C to 200°C.

Ambersil Penetrating Oil is an aggressive penetrant to be used for freeing rusted nuts, bolts, and small components and also prevents further corrosion. Ambersil Penetrating Oil can be used also for cleaning rusted surfaces of moulds, dies, and heavy tools and for softening or removing carbon deposits.

Ambersil Tufcut provides an extreme-pressure, tenacious film between the tool cutting edge and can also improve surface finish, tool life and provides heavier close tolerance cutting capabilities. Ambersil Tufcut is especially suitable for drilling, cutting, reaming and tapping of tough metals such as high tensile steel, stainless steel and high carbon alloys.
