Brookfield offers widest range of viscometers to suit every application

Keywords: Viscosity, Measurement

Brookfield has been the foremost name in viscometry for over 60 years, setting the standards for accurate, reliable viscosity measurement.

Now, with the launch of its new catalogue (see Plate 3), Brookfield is offering its widest ever range of instruments – designed to suit every product and application.

Whether measuring Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluids, thin or thick fluids or even uneven particulates in suspension, Brookfield instruments produce consistent, repeatable results for QC or product development requirements.

Plate 3 Latest Brookfield Catalogue offers widest ever range of instruments and accessories, including the soft solids tester (SST)

Controlled shear rate instruments range from the simple dial model to digital viscometers, like the popular DV-11+. For the ultimate in programmability and performance, the DV-111+ Rheometer offers a host of features. For controlled stress measurement, there is the RS Rheometer and – new to the range– the soft solids tester (SST) 2000.

The new Brookfield SST 2000 Viscometer uses controlled stress technology to offer fast and easy measurement of stiff or lumpy products (see Plate 4).

Designed for use with pastes, gels, waves and particulate-laden slurries, the SST 2000 uses vaned measuring systems and controlled stress methods to provide fast, easy and efficient analysis making it ideal for product development or QC testing.

Plate 4 New Brookfield SST 2000 Viscometer offers fast and easy measurement of soft solids

The SST 2000 brings simple, yet powerful creep tests to the everyday quality controller or product developer.

For new product development, the SST 2000 provides valuable data that relates to the sample’s solid and viscoelastic characteristics.

For QC applications, the SST 2000 offers fast, easy and efficient measurement– perfect for in-line testing on the factory floor. A Quality Control Mode feature makes pass/fail determination of batches simplicity itself and immediate recognition of batch failure is easy – even for non-technical staff. For complete traceability, automated analysis software provides hard figures or graphical results, with or without a full printout, after every test.

Simple selection guide – The latest catalogue features the complete range of instruments and accessories with a useful two-page pull-out Selection Chart.
