New brochures for environmentally designed filter media and support elements

Parker Filter Division Europe has published two new technical brochures that highlight the company's leading position in the manufacture of filter media and its incorporation into elements that are designed and developed to meet current environmental requirements. The brochures cover E Series elements and Microglass III filter media (Plate 2).
Manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials, the E Series support tube is now an integral part of the housing, not the element. This means that the support tube is a permanent part of the filter assembly – reducing the amount of waste and re-cycling costs.

E Series elements are available in two options: the patented LEIF elements which retain the metal mesh media supports; and Eco-glass III elements which use a fully disposable support mesh, both upstream and downstream of the media. This support mesh is designed to be incinerated with the media material after use.
Microglass III, Parker's new filtration media for hydraulic applications, is available in the E Series filter range. Microglass III is a graded multi-layer glass fibre media, designed to offer maximum service life and maximum efficiency. By utilising multiple media layers, designed to capture contaminants of differing sizes, Microglass III ensures that the full depth of the media pack is used, by effectively eliminating the “blinding” of the upstream layers. This design results in both high removal efficiency and high dirt holding capacity, maximising system reliability and extending element service life.
