Metal Box's joint venture with Japan's Toyo Glass to provide Nigeria with its own bottling plant is a good example of industrial aid to developing countries. The deal helps to reduce the strain on Nigeria's import bill, it provides work for the country's manpower skills and it has all the makings of another profitable venture for Metal Box.
