How do you deal with women who take advantage of the sex discrimination laws to apply for jobs for which they are patently unsuited? In cases of faulty work or misconduct, exactly how does an employer go about giving a formal warning as opposed to something which the employee might construe as a conversational “ticking off”? How can an employer define “reasonable” grounds for dismissal without having an industrial tribunal panel decide it for him?
