Examining preference shares from the Shari’ah perspective: a systematic literature review

Wafa Mohammed Ali Nasr is a PhD Candidate at IIiBF. She is a Shariah Registered Financial Planner (SRFP) and a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA). She gained intensive experience being a full-time Senior Executive at Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) and a part-time project manager at the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF).

Prof Aznan Hasan is the Chairman of the ASAS Advisory Council. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Council (SAC) of the Securities Commission (SC) and a former member of the SAC of Bank Negara Malaysia. He is a registered Shariah advisor for the Islamic Unit Trust Schemes and Islamic Securities (Sukuk), SC and the Chairman of the Shariah Committee of Amanah Hartanah Bumiputra. Prof. Aznan is the chairman of the Shariah Committee and a non-independent non-executive director of Maybank Islamic Berhad.
