Virus is a threat to server software

A new Net-based virus called "land c" or "Land Attack" could bring down many popular server systems and software packages, according to a report by Internet Security Systems, a software company that is also a watchdog for many Net-based software attack tools.

If you or your company run a server or routing system network, there is a page to check your vulnerability to the virus at http://www.iss.net/xforce/advisories/land2.asc

Fixes for major server systems are already available. This is of no relevance to those without server software/systems.
