As a Managing Editor (special issues) it gives me great pleasure to introduce the first special issue to be published in Journal of Applied Accounting Research and to thank the guest editors for their valuable contribution. I am especially pleased to see that we have achieved the variety of perspectives, both theoretical and methodological, that we set out in the call for papers, whilst maintaining our key objective of publishing applied research papers of high quality.
