Complex impedance spectra were obtained from cement mortars over the frequency range 10 Hz–10 MHz. A classic response was observed which comprised contributions from both electrode and bulk polarization effects. By investigating the bulk impedance response, the Paper attempts to show that it is possible to characterize the pore surface texture, this being quantified by its fractal dimension.
