The Internet evangelists say that, before long, we will all be spending 25 hours a day on the Internet searching for data on Mesopotamia, choosing mortgages, booking flights or analyzing investments. I am skeptical. I think the Net may amount to something, eventually, but there is absolutely no hurry to get on board.
