My role as 142nd president of the Institution of Civil Engineers is to provide leadership and guidance for the Institution and its members. Like my predecessors, my role is to deliver the Institution's strategy. Like my predecessors, I am deeply honoured to be elected your president, but also somewhat daunted by the role, bearing in mind those who have gone before.
